WE ARE EXPECTED TO
RECOGNIZE THE SEASONS / YEARS
DESCRIBED BY PROPHECY
BUT NOT KNOW THE DAY Or HOUR
OF OUR LORD’S RETURN !
“SEASONS” are Approximate "Signs of the Times" from Scripture.

JESUS DESCRIBED THE
“SIGNS
OF HIS RETURN” IN
MTH. 24:5-31 and LUKE 21:24 and REV. 6-7
PLUS
MANY OTHER SCRIPTURES
Of that day and hour know no man, no, not the angels of
heaven, but my Father only.
However, Jesus rebuked those who did not anticipate the
“Season of His Coming”:
Jesus
said to the Pharisees: “… Hypocrites! You know how to discern
the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the Signs of the Times” (Mth. 16:3).
Just as the 5 wise virgins & 5 foolish
virgins & the bride do not know, the day or hour, of her bridegroom’s coming to take her away, they DID knew the
‘season’ of His coming.
Some like the Magi, Nicodemus, Joseph of Arimathea and most of
the Apostles DID recognize the SEASON of Jesus coming as prophesied in Scripture.
The
Apostles asked Jesus: “ Tell us WHEN shall these things be? And WHAT shall be the SIGN
of Your Coming, and end of the world? Jesus responded clearly as recorded in Mth. 24:5-31.

1st Coming:
Vs 25: Know therefore and understand, that from the going
forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be 69 periods of 7’s:
69 periods of 7 years; 69 x 7 = 483 prophetic years
483 years x 360 days per prophetic year = 173,880
prophetic calendar days.
"King Artaxerxes decreed in the month of
Nissan, the order to restore and rebuild Jerusalem." (Neh. 2:1-8). This may have been
on the 1st day of the Jewish month Nissan in 445 BC. 173,880 prophetic
calendar days later, the gift of the Holy Spirit was given on Sivan 6,30 A.D. Sivan
6 is the day on which the Feast of Weeks; aka Pentecost is celebrated! It is also the month the Law was given to Moses
that brings forth the knowledge of sin. Now the Spirit of life has been given!
Jesus 2nd
Coming Prophecy Proven Valid By Virtue of His 1st Coming Prophecy Fulfilled:
Vs. 27:(Amplified) AND He
(God) shall confirm* (strengthen) the (His) covenant (of
70 periods of 7 - upon the people & the city - Jerusalem) with many
for one week (1 period of 7):
*Confirm:
Regarding Dan. 9:27: “He shall confirm the
covenant” (70 periods of 7).
Confirm is from the Hebrew word “higbir” (Hiph'il form of the verb Gabar) meaning
“to confirm (a covenant), to strengthen”.
See: Hebrew / Greek Interlinear Bible
for original Hebrew / Greek.
See: Hebrew / Greek Lexicon (links)
However, the New American
Standard (NASB) incorrectly translates
“higbir” to
the English verb: “to make”
(“karat / poieo”
in Hebrew / Greek) rather; than “to
confirm” or “to strengthen”. The NASB
infers there was NO
pre-existing covenant “to confirm” or “to strengthen”. This incorrect translation
by the NASB literally changes Scripture, to it’s detriment. "To make" is NOT synonymous with "to
confirm".
NASB translation “to
make” is used to heretically
infer the Anti-Christ “makes” a “covenant with the people and the city of Jerusalem”, and consequently, causes major eschatological interpretation
consequences!
This is Satan’s counterfeit
at it’s best; distorting God’s prophecy of His second coming! Unfortunately, Pre-Tribulation theology uses
this translation in justifying the Anti-Christ
“making” a covenant with Israel at the beginning of the 7-year ‘tribulation’ period.
It is imperative that a correct translation ‘to confirm’ or ‘to strengthen’ a covenant; be used to
show the importance of God’s continued ‘covenant of the full 70 periods of 7s’ with “the people
and the CITY OF JERUSALEM”.
Note the ‘confirmation’ or ‘strengthening’
of the entire covenant: this includes the “ability to rebuild Jerusalem”, and applies equally to both periods
(69 7’s & the last 70th 7). Therefore
the ability to rebuild Jerusalem is a key “sign” related to both the 1st & 2nd
prophecies related to Jesus coming!

24 Jesus’ Olivet Discourse on the “End of the “Age” and on “SIGNS”
Of His ‘Coming’:
“And as
He (Jesus) sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, tell us, when shall these things
be, & what
will be the Sign of Your Coming, & the end of the age? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
For
many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
And you
shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come
to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against
kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places.
All These Are The Beginning of Sorrows.
Then
shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of all nations
for my name's sake.
And then shall many be offended, and shall
betray one another, and shall hate one another.
And many false
prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
And because iniquity shall abound, the
love of many shall wax cold.
But he that shall endure
unto the end, the same shall be saved.
And this gospel
of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place,
Then shall be Great Tribulation,
such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be
And
except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake
those days shall be shortened..
Immediately
after the TRIBULATION of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the
moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn,
and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet,
and they shall Gather Together HIS ELECT from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Zechariah prophesied (in Zec. 9:14-16): And the LORD shall be seen over them … and
the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, … And the LORD their God shall save them in that day.
Paul writes (in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18):
"For the Lord himself will descend
from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the shofar (trumpet of God); and the dead in Christ
shall rise first.
Then we who are alive and remain shall
be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and thus we shall always be with the Lord.”
===============================================
So likewise, when you shall see all these things, know
that it is near, even at the doors
Truly I say unto you, this generation
shall not pass, until all these things be fulfilled.
As in
the days of Noah, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be,
But
of that day and hour know no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Yet, Jesus rebuked those who did not anticipate the “Season of His Coming”:
Ezekiel prophesied: “Israel shall no longer be 2 Nations, but 1 Nation in the latter days”. (Ezk.
37:21-22)
Jesus said: “In this world you will have ‘Tribulation’,
but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” for "He that endures to the end will be saved".
==================================================
Tribulation is defined by the Greek words:
Peirasmos;
meaning trials, testing, temptation tribulations, and
Thlupsis; meaning
Affliction, Persecution tribulations.
“Tribulation” described by Jesus in Matthew 24:5 – 29, is also concurrently described by John in Revelation
chapter 6 as the first 6 of 7 seals o the scroll of ‘God’s Wrath’.
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation (thlupsis); but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16:33
(thlupsis; tribulation, affliction, distress, persecution)
“Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace
of affliction” (thlupsis).
Isa. 48:10
“For our light affliction (thlupsis),
which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory…” 2 Cor.
4:17
“No temptation (peirasmos) has overtaken you except such as
is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted
beyond what you are able, but with the temptation
will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Cor. 10:13
“The Lord knows how to deliver
(ruesthai) the godly out of / from (ek)
temptations” (peirasmos) … 2 Peter 2: 9
The Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words by W.E. Vine combined commentary on 2 Peter 2:9 and Rev. 3:10-12:
The verb is used of testing
as permitted by God, and of the believer as one who should be in the realization of his own helplessness and his dependence
upon God.
The
noun is used of trials with beneficial purposes and effect, also of trials or temptations Divinely permitted or sent:
I.e. 2 Peter
2:9 “to prove” or “to try” and in Rev. 3:10 “trial or temptation”.
“Wrath” is defined by the Hebrew and Greek words ‘Ebrah’ and ‘Orges’:
The “Wrath” of God is described in Revelation Chapters 8 –16 as the 7 Trumpets and 7 Bowls of “God’s Wrath”
is then poured out in Judgment upon the unrepentant.
Wrath translated from Hebrew word “Ebrah”
(Orges in Greek); Strong’s
#5678 connotes the “overflowing fury of
God”; and is only used in conjunction with "Day of the Lord" wrath after the 7 th seal
is broken, and the scroll of God’s wrath is opened.
“The DAY OF THE LORD” & “HIS
WRATH”:
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Rom. 5:9
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, (“Ebrah”) but to obtain salvation …. I Thes. 5:9
“For the great day of His wrath
(Ebrah
/ Orges) is come; and who shall be able to stand? Rev. 6:17
The first use of the word “wrath” in Revelation is at Rev. 6:17,
and is a prelude statement to breaking the
7th seal, which then allows OPENING
of the SCROLL, releasing God’s wrath written in the scroll.
Please visualize the scroll with the 7 seals. The scroll contains the wrath of God,
but is not opened until ALL
7 seals are broken; opened by “the Lion of the tribe of Judea”/ Jesus, then the 7
trumpets and 7 bowls of “God’s wrath” in Rev. 8 –16 continues until the Feast of Atonement aka. Judgment Rev.17 & 18.
Jesus then breaks the 7th seal; thus opening
the scroll releasing His “wrath”
Upon Jesus’ return to deliver us fro the wrath to come,
He then stays to deliver His ‘Wrath’ upon the unrepentant:
“… I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on
the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals… Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has
prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals."
…. And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood …” Rev.
5:1,5,9
“He was clothed with
a robe dipped in blood, and His
name is called The Word of God…. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty
God…. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS…. Then I
saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven,
"Come and gather together for the
supper of the great God” Rev. 19:13, 15-17
============================
Jesus “Comes” (Parousia) only Once:
AFTER “Tribulation” (seals 1 –6), and BEFORE
“wrath” (7th seal) per Rev. 6 and Mth. 24:5-31.
The first 6 seals of “Tribulation” ‘caused’ by God’s permissive will was allowed
by God; to encourage repentance prior to wrath and judgment.
Jesus then gathers His “elect” / "chosen" prior to wrath; Mth. 24:30-31 (Pre-Wrath Raptured); as Jesus Himself clearly states:
“
Immediately After the Tribulation (trials)
of those days, shall the sun
be darkened and the moon
give no light, and the
stars fall from heaven. Then shall the Son of man come…with a great sound of a trumpet
of God … and gather the “elect” / "chosen". (Pre
Wrath Rapture)
“For the great day of His wrath
(Ebrah
/ Orges) is come; and who shall be able to stand? Rev. 6:17
Jesus then continues to stay and deliver His Wrath;
(7th seal), until Judgment has been delivered, and then to rule in His Millennial Kingdom 1,000 years
in a "Year of Jubilee". (No coming and going)
This period completes the “Feasts Of The Lord”
Feasts of Trumpets proclaiming the time to repent, unto the “Feast of Atonement” / Judgment, unto the “Year
of Jubilee”.
===========================================================
Note: The period of “Tribulation” (Peirasmos & Thlupsis), during the first 6 seals
were allowed by God through His permissive will to cause repentance; before His “wrath” and Judgment upon
the unrepentant. I.e. Typical of warnings given by God in scripture to repent, before God unleashes His “over flowing fury” / wrath.
