Vs. 27:  (Amplified) "AND He (God) shall CONFIRM* (strengthen) the (His) Covenant / Promise (of  70 periods of 7  - upon the people & the city - Jerusalem) with many for one week (1 period of 7)."    (Only God can confirm the last 70th 7 of vs 24) (69 -7s of vs 25 related to Jesus' 1st coming)

and in the midst of the week (7yr. period) He (God) shall cause (allow) the sacrifice ** (sacrifices of praise; i.e. burnt offerings - not blood sacrifices for sin)  to cease (thru His permissive Will, allowing the antichrist’s activities to cause "Tribulation"  *** during Seals 1-6; Rev. 6 & Mth. 24:5-29-31), and for the overspreading of abominations he (antichrist) shall make it desolate, even until the consummation ("Day of the Lord & His Wrath" i.e. End of the Age), and that determined (God’s wrath upon breaking the 7th seal, and opening the Scroll listing the 7 trumpets and 7 bowls of God's WRATH) shall be poured upon the desolate ( i.e. the unrepentant during "tribulation").

This all, of course, goes back to include the original hermeneutical position of defining "Tribulation' & "Wrath" as not being synonymous!

    If hermeneutic principles are correctly applied, "Tribulation" and "Wrath" are not synonymous.

    The rapture comes after tribulation, but before the “Day of the Lord and His wrath”,as clearly stated by Jesus Himself in Matt. 24:5-31 and as supported by many other Scriptures such as Rev. 6 and Joel 2:31.

*CONFRM:  Regarding Daniel 9 :27: 

“He shall confirm the covenant” (of 70 periods of 7).

Confirm is from the Hebrew word “higbir” (Hiph'il form of the verb Gabar) meaning “to confirm (a covenant), to strengthen”.

However, the New American Standard (NASB) incorrectly translates “higbir”  to the English verb: “to make” (“karat / poieo” in Hebrew / Greek) rather; than “to confirm” or “to strengthen”. 

The NASB infers there was NO pre-existing covenant “to confirm” or “to strengthen”. This incorrect translation by the NASB literally changes Scripture, to it’s detriment. 

"To make" is NOT synonymous with "to confirm".

NASB translation “to make” is used heretically to infer the antichrist “makes” a “covenant with the people and the city of Jerusalem”, and consequently, causes major eschatological interpretation consequences!

This is satan’s counterfeit at it’s best, distorting God’s prophecy of His second coming!  Unfortunately, Pre-Tribulation theology uses this translation in justifying the antichrist “making” a covenant with Israel at the beginning of the 7-year ‘tribulation’ period.

It is imperative that a correct translation ‘to confirm’ or ‘to strengthen’ a covenant be used to show the importance of God’s continued covenant of the full “70 periods of 7s’ with “the people and the CITY OF JERUSALEM”.

Note the ‘confirmation’ or ‘strengthening’ of the entire covenant includes the ability to rebuild “Jerusalem”, and applies equally to both periods (69 7’s & the last 70^th 7).  Therefore the ability to rebuild Jerusalem is a key “sign” related to both the 1^st & 2^nd prophecies related to Jesus' coming!

Peirasmos, Peirasai:  Tribulation / Trials / Temptations / to Test, to Try, to Tempt.

Thlipsis:  Tribulation / Distress / Affliction / Persecution

“Tribulation” / ‘Peirasmos’ & ‘Thlipsis / Thlupsis’ described in Matthew 24:5 – 29 is also concurrently described by John in Revelation chapter 6 for the first 6 seals. 

The Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words by W.E. Vine combined commentary on 2 Peter 2:9 and Rev. 3:10-12 ‘Peirasmos’ states:

"The verb is used of testing as permitted by God, and of the believer as one who should be in the realization of his own helplessness and his dependence upon God.

"The noun is used of trials with beneficial purposes and effect, also of trials or temptations Divinely permitted or sent,  i.e.  2 Peter 2:9  “to prove” or “to try” and in Rev. 3:10 'trial or temptation'."

Wrath:  Reference Rev. 6:17

Ebrah / Orges (Hebrew / Greek):  Wrath / Anger / Indignation / Vengeance

Wrath translated from Hebrew word “Ebrah” (Orges in Greek); Strong’s #5678 connotes the “overflowing fury of God”; and is only used in conjunction with "Day of the Lord" wrath after the 7 th seal in Rev. 8 is broken, and the scroll of God’s ‘wrath’ is opened.  “Wrath” of God / Jesus, listed in Revelation Chapters 8 –16, is then poured out in Judgment upon the unrepentant.

DANIEL 9:27 

Verse 27 is very complex, and deserves an in-depth study for total scriptural understanding on this matter.  First, an overview outline description will be provided.  However, proof is in understanding a multitude of Scripture, which are provided by links for further study.

The First key to understanding is the importance of the city of Jerusalem in God's covenant for the entire Seventy Weeks or 70 periods of seven.  Secondly, in verses 24 to 26, prophecy was completed by Jesus in his first coming of 69 periods of seven.  Verse 27 states that God is confirming His covenant the remaining 1 period of 7 years (the 70th 7).  Third, it is important to understand that there are two types of sacrifices:  praise offerings, and blood sacrifices, the latter which have been satisfied by Jesus.  Consequently, it is the sacrificial offerings of praise and commitment to God that the antichrist makes efforts to cease.  Fourthly, this time of tribulation caused by satan is God's permissive will to allow tribulation upon the people for the purpose of causing repentance, during the Sixth Seals, before God pours out His wrath upon the unrepentant at the Seventh Seal.  Fifthly, it is essential to understand the difference between "tribulation" and "wrath".  Sixth, we in this world are subject to tribulation (John 16:33), but not God's wrath for those who believe.  Seventh, Jesus in Matthew 24:5-31, and John in Revelation Chapter 6 describes this period as a “tribulation”; up until the Sixth Seal.   Eighth, upon the breaking of the Seventh Seal, the scroll is opened,; thus exposing God's wrath as described by the seven trumpets and seven bowls.   Reference: vs. 27.5  "He (antichrist) shall make it desolate, even until the consummation (End i.e. End of the Age at the Feast of Atonement / Judgment), and that determined (God’s wrath at the 7^th seal) shall be poured upon the desolate" (the unrepentant at the opening of the 7^th seal).  Ninth, this completes the one period of seven, or in other words, the 70^th 7-year period.   

Thus, God's purpose as stated in verse 24 is now completed.

 Dan. 9: 24:  Seventy weeks (70 periods of 7) are determined upon the people and upon thy holy city (Jerusalem), to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

        Jesus' 1^st Coming:

(A.D. dates adjusted to our Gregorian calendar of 365.242 days per astronomical year.* 173,880 / 365.2422 = 476 years and 25 days; Nissan 25, 32 AD.   Gregorian calendar years; 445 + 30 = 476)

Lunar Calendar with Leap Years Interpretation – Possibly Correct

Lunar Cycle Calculations  =  477 years + 50 days.

1 leap month of 29 days is added 7 times over a 19-year cycle.  This equals 203 days. 

1 – 19 year cycle  x 354 days per lunar cycle = 6,726 days total

1 leap month (29 days)  x 7 per 19-year cycle = 203 days total

A total 6924 days per 19-year cycle including Adar II as a leap month of 29 days.

By adding 7 leap months per 19-year cycle = 6,924 days per 19-year cycle.

173,880 prophetic days divided by 6,924 days per 19-year lunar cycle, including leap months equals 25.11265 cycles of 19 years 6,924 days per 173,880 days.

PROOF:

6924 days per 19-year cycle x 25.11265 = 173,880 days

6924 / 19 = 364.42105 solar days per year

25.11265 cycles of 19 years = 477.140 years at 364.42105 days / yr;  + .140 year equals 50 days; 477 years & 50 days.

25.11265 cycles x 6924 days (per cycle of 19 years) = 173,880 days

SUMMARY:

A lunar cycle applied to the prophetic days of 173,880 = 477 years and 50 days

445 BC + 477years + 50 days = 31 AD + 1 month  + 20 days  ( including 1 year for the zero year)

SIR ROBERT ANDERSON calculations of Daniel 9:24-26 70-Weeks Prophecy

Regarding the first 69 Periods of 7 is IN ERROR:

According to his own conclusion 173,880 DAYS, equate to 476 Gregorian calendar years plus 25 days.  

Daniel’s prophecy was 476 Gregorian calendar years plus 25 days from the time the order was given by King Artexerxes in the month of Nissan, unto the coming of the Messiah per Neh. 2:1,8. 

However, with, Passover on the 14th day of Nissan,  25 days  prior to Passover is Adar 15; obviously NOT in the month of Nissan. In other-words, Artexerxes would have been giving his order  on Adar 15, NOT in the month of Nissan per Neh. 2:1,8. 

Put another way:  Nissan 1, 445 BC + 476 Gregorian calendar years +  25 days =  Nissan 25, 30 AD -  A date of no significance.

Therefore SIR ROBERT ANDERSON calculations of Daniel 9:24-26 is IN ERROR by erroneously subtracting 25 days due to a lunar moons adjustment; which consequently is no longer 173,880 days per Daniel's prophecy.

         CALENDARING  OF  FEASTS  METHODOLOGY:
A Biblical year is a Lunar (moon) Calendar 354 days long.  The Biblical Calendar for feasts is initiated by the first sliver of a new moon, and marks the beginning of a month, which is always a sabbath, and the 1^st day of the month (even when a leap month is added); thereby determining when the feasts will be held per Leviticus Chapter 23.  Consequently, the feasts always fall on the same day of the week every year.   See “Feasts Calendars”.  Note: The Biblical calendar year spans the Gregorian calendar years from the first month of Nissan; in approximately April or May.

In contrast, the Jewish Calendar year averages  363.3 days per year; which is comprised of 12 lunar months with 29.530573496 astronomical days per month; for a 354-day year, except on leap years where an extra month is added in to adjust to solar reckoning: 

To approximately adjust to a solar calendar, a leap month called Adar II comprised of 29 days, is added on: the 3^rd, 6^th, 8^th, 11^th, 14^th and 17^th year based upon a 19 year cycle. This calendar is often (incorrectly) called a “lunar /solar” calendar.  Unfortunately it is neither, or a correct hybrid.

In contrast, a Solar Calendar is 365.2422 days per year; compared to today’s Gregorian Calendar of 30.43685 astronomical days, per month, average.  Note: the Gregorian calendar replaced the earlier, less accurate Julian calendar.

Jewish Calendaring of Feasts today:   Today’s Jewish calendars superimpose a 354-day lunar calendar (Including a leap month Adar II) onto the Gregorian calendar of 365.2422 days per year.  Consequently, the feasts then fall on a different day each year, rather than on the same day when based on a lunar calendar; as God had ordained in Leviticus 23. 

Christian Calendaring of Feasts, such as the “Feast of Passover”; aka Crucifixion of Jesus”, or the “Feast of First Fruits”; aka “Easter, or the “Feast of Weeks”; aka Pentecost:  The Christian calendaring of these feasts is also inaccurate.  This is due to the overlaying of a lunar calendar, on top of a modern Gregorian calendar, then purposefully adjusting the feasts to fall on predetermined days;  i.e. the Crucifixion on Passover to be on a Friday.

In contrast to this is the Biblical Prophetic Calendar of 360 days per year.  See Rev. 11:2-3, 12:6, 13:5 and Dan. 12:7-12, which indicate 42 months as equivalent to 3.5 years or 1260 days; 360 days per year (also used by Babylonians).  This is the calendar used in prophecy of Jesus 1^st coming in Daniel 9:24-26, then reconciled with the other calendaring methods mentioned.

1 DAY  =  1,000 YEARS prophetically, when applied to God:

I.e. Jubilee / Millennial Kingdom:

“One day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day . . .  we, according too His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness."  2 Peter 3:8 & 13

Just as 6 days of the week were meant for man and the 7^th day (Sabbath) was meant for honoring God, so also are the 6 Feasts related to man’s redemption and the 7^th Feast of Tabernacles related to an eternity with God.  This follows the logic of when 1 day is prophetically speaking of 1 year (e.g. Ezek. 4:6) when referring to man’s redemption, or when 1 day is prophetically speaking of 1,000 years (2 Peter 3:8 & 13) when referring to God as with Jubilee / Millennial Kingdom.

Note the Year of Jubilee / Millennial Kingdom starts on the 11^th day of the 7^th month (the day following the Feast of Atonement / Judgment on the 10^th day).  The Feast of Tabernacles is not until the 15^th day.  Therefore, it could possibly be another 4,000 years after the Millennial Kingdom to the Feast of Tabernacles.

This possibility can be seen in Rev. 20 which states that satan will be released after 1,000 years of Millennial Kingdom, then a Gog / Magog  battle will occur, then the "Great White Throne Judgment", and finally completed with the Feast of Tabernacles i.e. a "New Heavens & New Earth".

The relationship of the feasts then to God’s ordained Numerical Sequences:

7 day  week ending on a Sabbath

7 months of 7 feasts ending on the ultimate Sabbath, the Feast of Tabernacles

7 years culminating in a Sabbatical year

7 Sabbatical years of 7 years culminating at the Year of Jubilee

7 weeks of 7 days to the Feast of Weeks / Shavuot / Pentecost

70 periods of 7 (Daniel 9:24-27) “End of the Age” prophecy
