Greetings in the Lord Jesus, our Messiah … Prepare Ye The Way Of The Lord.

The “Feasts Of The Lord” web site started initially as preparation to teach a class at my church.  However it has grown exponentially, to the point that my classroom has become the world, via the web, with a change of emphasis from teaching, to empowering others; to both learn, and to teach.  My primary emphasis is not to provide any more opinions, or interpretations than absolutely necessary.  Rather, the emphasis is to provide related scriptures of each feast, and let scripture speak more clearly than I ever could.

I grew up a devote Catholic until my teenage years.  In 1979  I became a “Born Again” believer, with my initial 5 years as a new believer attending the original Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, California, USA; a charismatic church pastored by Chuck Smith (where Maranatha Music started).  The next 10 years were spent in a conservative evangelical church, pastored by Chuck Swindoll, a similar church since then.  So be assured that I am basically a very conservative evangelical / charismatic.  I hold two B.S. degrees; one in Science and one in Business Management and some 30 years of business experience.

I might mention, that my lovely wife also grew-up under Chuck Swindoll’s conservative teachings, studied Hermeneutics during her Masters degree at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, worked on staff with Chuck Swindoll, and then served as a missionary with the Evangelical Free Church for four years.  She has been a great help in grammatical checking.  Furthermore, she would also readily and gently argue the point, if she felt my hermeneutics were adrift.  In fact she has been a great helpmate.  In addition, I have very actively sought reviews and comments, from many pastors and elders, for their wisdom by collective counsel, including review of the web site, by Calvary Chapel school of ministry, and welcome any other ministry review.  To God be the glory.

In 2005 I felt the Lord call me to a deeper study on the feasts, and prepared a Bible study on the 7 Feasts of the Lord, according to Leviticus 23.  Due to the vast amount of material gathered, and the profound nature of the last 3 feasts relative to Jesus return, I felt further led to share these resources, in order that others could also study / teach the subject with ready reference to pertinent scriptures associated with each feast. 

These studies also try to provide a depth of both a theological, and cultural understanding to our Judaic / Christian roots; as rooted in the prophecies related to each feast. 

The feasts are literally God’s calendar of redeeming grace; as proven in Jesus fulfillment of the first 4 feasts, with  the last 3 are soon to also be fulfilled!

The objective is to gather all scriptures from Genesis to Revelation, in syllabus format (ALL CAPS in left column), that may pertain to each of the seven feasts.  This led to developing an assortment of handout files; to further explore in greater depth each topic, as the study progressed (lower case in left column).  See "Home" & "Course Files" pages for further info).

For example, “Feasts of the Lord”:   An in-depth study on the words “Feast” and “Lord” add an enriched understanding even to the main topic.:

FEASTS:  aka:  Solemn Appointed Times with the Lord   Lev. 23:4

The Hebrew word translated "Feasts" means Appointed Times. The sequencing and timing of these feasts are orchestrated by God himself as part of a comprehensive whole picture of His promises and providence.

Collectively, they tell a story.

These feasts are also called "Holy Convocations" in Scripture; that is, they are intended to be times of meeting between God and man for "Holy Purposes" (as is the Sabbath – the 4^th commandment !).
