"DAY OF THE LORD"
AND
HIS WRATH
An in-depth analysis of the
“Day of the Lord”
Wrath vs. Tribulation
following the “Last Trumpet” and study of Pre Wrath Rapture and Pre Trib Rapture from the Feast of Trumpets to the
Feast of Atonement
and sequel to Daniel 9:24-27 Prophecy and the 7 Israel Jewish Biblical Festivals aka Feasts of the Lord per Lev. 23
including End of the Age, Last Days Prophecy, and Jesus Parousia, Pre-Trib, and Pre-Wrath Rapture, Hermeneutical Eschatological
Analysis and Days of Awe during Feast of Trumpets thru to Feast of Atonement unto Jubilee aka Millennial Kingdom relationships.

Jesus calls the
first 3.5 years of the7-year ‘Tribulation Period’: “The Beginning of Sorrows”.
During this period Jesus in Mth. 24 describe this ‘tribulation’ (Peirasmos) allowed
by God as: Spiritual Deception, wars, famine and pestilence. John in Rev.6 describe this “tribulation’
(Peirasmos) as the first 4 of 7 seals on the scroll containing God’s “wrath”.

After the first 4 seals of
“Tribulation” (Pierasmos / Testings / Trials) occur
during the initial 3.5 years of the “Tribulation Period”, the “abomination of desolation” will
occur.
At this time Jesus
in Mth. 24:15, 29 and Rev. 6:9-11 (5th seal) predicts a “Great Tribulation”
(Thlupsis; Persecution / Affliction) will then occur.
Jesus then states in
Mth. 24:29 and in Rev. 6:12-17 (6th Seal):
“Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days, shall the sun be darkened
and the moon give no light, and the stars fall from heaven”.
Mth.24:30-31
Then shall the Son of man come (parousia) …
“…with a great sound of a trumpet of God .”
& gather the “elect” / "chosen" (Pre Wrath Rapture)
Joel, Acts and Isaiah also state: “BEFORE
the ‘Day Of The Lord’ and His Wrath” the sun be darkened
and the moon give no light, and the stars fall from heaven”.
“The
sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the great and the terrible
“Day of the LORD” come.” Joel 2:1. The 6th seal is a clear prelude
to God’s “wrath / over flowing fury” being poured out onto mankind.
Isaiah also states: “Behold, the “Day
of the LORD” comes, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and
He shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven and the constellations
thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon
shall not cause her light to shine.” Isa. 13:9-11

2:1,10,31, Acts 2:17-21, Isa. 13:9-11, Isa. 24:21-23, Rev. 6:17, 2 Peter 3:1012, Zec.
14:1-6)
Immediately
following the 6th seal;
Rev. 6:17 then states: “For the great day
of His wrath is / has come; and who shall be
able to stand?” (Future
tense !)
The first use of the word “wrath”
in Revelation is at Rev. 6:17, and is a prelude statement to breaking the 7th seal,
which then allows OPENING of the SCROLL, thus releasing God’s wrath
as written in the scroll.
Consequently, upon failure to repent
during first 6 seals of “tribulation” allowed by God (Rev. 6 and Mth. 24:5-9,13,21,22,29), the
7 trumpets & 7 Bowls of God's WRATH are then released upon mankind (Rev. 8 – 16).
(Just as in the “DAYS Of NOAH”)
Please take a moment to visualize the scroll
with the 7 seals per Rev. 5:1 & 5. The scroll contains the wrath of God, but is not
opened until ALL 7 seals are broken; opened by “the Lion of the tribe of Judea”.
The previous 6 seals are representative of
conditions; that must be met before the last seal is broken, and the scroll
of wrath is opened.
Only upon
breaking the last seal (the 7th seal) is the scroll opened - to release “God’s wrath”:
The “7 Trumpets of God’s of God’s wrath, and the 7 bowls of God’s wrath begin.
Therefore, the first 6
seals are God’s permissive will; to allow tribulation / testing (“Peirasmos”),
for the purpose of encouraging repentance during the hour of testing;
BEFORE God’s wrath is poured out upon the unrepentant. aka the “Days of Awe” call for repentance;
between the Feast of Trumpets, and the Feast of Atonement
/ Judgment!
"Wrath" (Ebrah / Orges), introduced in Rev. 6:17,
is only used in conjunction with the "Day of the Lord" and His wrath”, after the 7th
seal in Rev. 8 – 16, and
as judgment upon the unrepentant.
Therefore any
possible application, of how or when to apply the word “rapture”, must
first take into consideration the significant difference between the words “tribulation” and
“wrath” and their usage in scripture.
Note In CONTEXT:
“Tribulation” (Pierasmos; Testings / Trials) (Seals 1 thru 4)
“Great Tribulation”
(Thlupsis; Persecution / Affliction) (Seal #5)
“Wrath” (Ebrah / Orges; Fury / Anger / Rage) (Seal#7)
Are NOT SYNONYMOUS
See: "Tribulation to Rapture to Wrath" Hermeneutics file link
Therefore,
the first 4 seals of “tribulation”, the 5th seal “Great Tribulation” and the 6th
seal cosmic disturbance precede God’s wrath that is poured out after the 7th seal
containing “God’s Wrath” has been opened by the “Lamb of God” – Pre Wrath
Rapture; i.e. After “tribulation, but before “wrath”.
Jesus comes and stays to deliver wrath upon the unrepentant:
“… I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a
scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals… Behold, the Lion
of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll
and to loose its seven seals." …. And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take
the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood …” Rev.
5:1,5,9
“He was clothed
with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God….
And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God…. And He has on His robe and
on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS…. Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he
cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come
and gather together for the supper of the great God” Rev. 19:13, 15-17
DAY OF THE LORD’S
WRATH:
"Who delivers
us from the wrath (Ebrah / Orges) to come…" 1 Thes. 1:10
"For God has not destined us for wrath
(Ebrah / Orges) …. " 1 Thes. 5:9
“For
the great day of His wrath (Ebrah / Orges) is / has come;
and who shall be able to stand? Rev. 6:17
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from
wrath through Him. Rom.
5:9
I Thes. 5:9
For God hath not appointed us to wrath,
(“Ebrah”) but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcomes will
I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God,
and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write
upon him my new name.
Isa. 26:20-21
Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide
yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past.
For behold, the LORD comes out of His place To punish the inhabitants of the earth
for their iniquity; The earth will also disclose her blood, And will no more cover her slain.
Job 14:13-14:
"Oh, that You
would hide me in the grave, That You would conceal me until Your wrath is past, That You would appoint
me a set time, and remember me! If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will
wait, Till my change comes.
Job 19: 25–28:
For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth;
And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, …. Be afraid of the sword for
yourselves; For wrath brings the punishment of the sword, That you may know there is a judgment."
Isa. 13:6-13 :
Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the
Almighty. Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:
And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be
in pain as a woman that travails: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames. Behold, the Day of the LORD comes, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay
the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven
and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth,
and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. And I will punish
the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will
lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden
wedge of Ophir. Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
Isa. 34:4-8 :
And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens
shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falls
off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. For
my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.
The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, …. For it
is the Day of the LORD's vengeance, and the year of recompenses
for the controversy of Zion.
Isa. 56: 10-11:
His
watchmen are blind, They
are all ignorant; they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yes,
they are greedy dogs which never have enough. And they are shepherds who cannot understand; they all
look to their own way, every one for his own gain, from his own territory.
Isa.
65: 12:
Therefore
I will number you for the sword,
And you shall all bow down to the slaughter; because, when I called, you did not answer; When I spoke, you did not
hear, but did evil before My eyes, and chose that in which I do not delight."
Jer.
3:27-28:
For
thus says the LORD: "The whole land shall be desolate; Yet I will not make a full end. For this shall
the earth mourn, And the heavens above be black, Because I have spoken. I have purposed and will not relent, Nor
will I turn back from it.
Jer. 6:10-11, 17: To whom shall I speak and give warning, That
they may hear? Indeed their ear is uncircumcised, And they cannot give heed. Behold, the word of the LORD is a reproach
to them; They have no delight in it. Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD ….
Also, I set watchmen over you, saying, 'Listen to the sound of the trumpet!' But they
said, 'We will not listen.'
Jer. 25:15:
For thus says the LORD God of Israel to me: "Take this
wine cup of fury from My hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it.
Jer. 25:31-33:
A noise will come to the ends of the earth--
For the LORD has a controversy with the nations; He will plead His case with all flesh. He will give those who are wicked
to the sword,' says the LORD." Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Behold, disaster shall go forth
From nation to nation, And a great whirlwind shall be raised up From the farthest parts of the earth. "And
at that day the slain of the LORD shall be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They shall
not be lamented, or gathered, or buried; they shall become refuse on the ground.
Jer. 30:7,10-11,15, 24 :
Alas! For that
day is great, So that none is like it; And it is the time of Jacob's trouble, But he shall be saved out
of it. …. 'Therefore do not fear, O My servant Jacob,' says the LORD, 'Nor be dismayed,
O Israel; For behold, I will save you from afar, …. For I am with you,' says the LORD, 'to save you;
Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, Yet I will not make a complete end of you.
But I will correct you in justice, and will not let you go altogether unpunished.' …. Why do you cry about your
affliction? Your sorrow is incurable. Because of the multitude of your iniquities, because your sins have increased, I have
done these things to you. …. The fierce anger of the LORD will not return until He has done it,
And until He has performed the intents of His heart. In the latter days you will consider it.
Ezk. 33:6:
'But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people
are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood
I will require at the watchman's hand.'
Ezk. 33:31
"So they come to you as people do, they sit before you as
My people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their hearts
pursue their own gain.
Joel 2:1-2
BLOW the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the
inhabitants of the land tremble; For the Day of the LORD is coming, for it is at hand: A day of darkness
and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. A people come,
great and strong, the like of whom has never been; nor will there ever be any such after them, even for many successive generations.
Joel 2:11
For
the Day of the LORD is great and very terrible; Who can endure it?
Joel 2:31
The sun shall be turned into
darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome Day of the LORD.
Joel: 3:14-17:
Multitudes, multitudes
in the valley of decision! For the Day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. The sun and
moon will grow dark, and the stars will diminish their brightness. The LORD also will roar
from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; the heavens and earth will shake; but the LORD will be a shelter for His
people, and the strength of the children of Israel. "So you shall know that I am the LORD your
God, dwelling in Zion My holy mountain. Then Jerusalem shall be holy, and no aliens shall ever pass through
her again."
Amos 5:18, 20
Woe
to you who desire the Day of the LORD! For what good is the day of the LORD to you? It will be darkness,
and not light. …. Is not the day of the LORD darkness, and not light? Is it not very dark, with no brightness
in it?
Amos 8:9
And
it shall come to pass in that Day," says the Lord GOD, That I will make the sun go down
at noon, And I will darken the earth in broad daylight;
Zep. 1:14 thru 2:3 :
The great Day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hastens greatly, even the voice of
the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of waste and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds
and thick darkness, A day of the trumpet
and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they
have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. Neither
their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the Day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured
by the fire of His jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land. Gather
yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired; Before
the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you,
before the Day of the LORD's anger come upon you. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek
righteousness, seek meekness: it may be you shall be hid in the Day of the LORD's anger.
Zec. 9:14, 16
Then the LORD will be seen over them,
And His arrow will go forth like lightning. The Lord GOD will blow the trumpet, … The LORD
their God will save them in that day…”.
Zec.
12:3, 9, 10
"And
it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will
surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. … It shall be in that day that I
will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants
of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they
pierced. Yes, they will mourn…”
Zec.
13:6
"And
one will say to him, 'What are these wounds between your arms?' Then
he will answer, 'Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.'
Zec. 14:4, 5, 9, 16
And in that day His feet will stand
on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east
to west, Making a very large valley; half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south…..
Thus the LORD my God will come, and all the saints with You….. And the LORD
shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be-- "The LORD is one," And His name one….
And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came
against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
Mal. 3:1,
2, 16
"BEHOLD,
I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. and the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come
to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming," Says
the LORD of hosts. "But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears?
For He is like a refiner's fire and like launderers' soap…. Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another,
and the LORD listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before
Him For those who fear the LORD and who meditate on His name.
