The Hebrew word translated "Feasts” means ‘Solemn
Appointed Times’, such as the fulfilled prophecies and typologies related to the first 4 “Appointed Times”
with God during the Feasts
of Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of First Fruits
aka Easter, and the Feast of Weeks aka Pentecost.
Jesus as Elohim completed the revelation of His Deity as the Second Person of the Trinity, at the
Feast of First Fruits aka Easter, and as the third Person of the Trinity.
Consequently, leaving us His ‘Parousia’ coming and staying presence thru the Gift of His Holy Spirit, manifesting His presence by empowering His disciples both
then and now, to be witness of His Divinity, and the availability of His presence to all that would receive Him. In
like manner is Jesus ‘Parousia’, related to the last 3 Feasts of Trumpets Feast of Atonement and Feast of Tabernacles, from the time described by both Jesus in Matt. 24:29, and John in Rev. 6:12-27 as the 6th Seal,
the final cosmic “Sign” of
Jesus coming to gather His “Elect”, followed by our Pre
Wrath Rapture as Jesus clearly states in Matt. 24:29-31 per End of the Age & Jesus’ Return.
Then continuing
His Presence through the opening of the scroll by His breaking the 7th Seal, thus initiating the Day of the Lord and His wrath, during
the 7th Seal release of the 7 Trumpets & 7 Bowls of ‘God’s Wrath, as noted in Rev. 8 to16, completing these 7 trumpets and 7 bowls of God’s
‘wrath’ unto Judgment at the Feast of Atonement at Rev. 17 and 18, immediately followed by the Year of Jubilee
celebrating the return to God, and all that belongs to Him, at His Marriage Supper during His Millennial Kingdom reign, and
ultimately followed by the Feast of Tabernacles at Rev. 21 and 22.
Eschatology is the theological term used, for the study of prophecy, as related
to these last 3 feasts of “Appointed Times with God”. As a "Watchman"
is called to "Prepare Ye The Way Of The Lord", and sees the storm coming, he blows the Trumpet of warning for those
who have ears to hear, for the set time has come:
Feast of Trumpets the 5th “Appointed
Times with God” initiates
the 10-day / year period of time for repentance between the Feast of Trumpets and the Feast of Atonement, Judgment. This 10-day
/ year period is called the “Days of Awe” and includes the 7th Sabbatical Year of 7-years unto
Jubilee called the 7-year “Tribulation Period” as part of this 10-year “End of the Age” period call
for repentance before Judgment.
Feast of Atonement aka Judgment the 6th “Appointed Time”
with God, then culminates immediately on the
next day with the “Year of Jubilee”, aka the “Millennial Kingdom, at which time everything is required
to be returned to it’s original owner, i.e. God; Elohim.
Feast of Tabernacles the 7th “Appointed Time”
with God:
The Feasts
and Sabbaths are called "Holy
Convocations" in Scripture. That
is to say, they are intended to be times of meeting between God and man for "Holy Purposes". Each Feast is
also a Sabbath and reminds us of our call to a "PURSUIT Of HOLINESS" and a personal restoration with God.
"If you turn away your foot from the sabbath, from doing your own pleasure
on My holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honorable; and shall honor Him, not doing your
own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words:
"Then shall you delight yourself
in the LORD; and I will cause you to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your
father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it." Isa. 58:13-14.
To fully understand the Feasts, one must first understand the
full meaning and implications of the Sabbath as a time
of oneness with God. See: SABBATH
The Feast of Tabernacles becomes the ultimate oneness of meeting with God to “tabernacle”
/ dwell with God for eternity, thus the absolute necessity to “pursue holiness”.
“… regarding a Festival or a new moon or Sabbaths,
which are a shadow of things to come …” Col. 2:16-17
“… Hypocrites! You know how to discern
the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.” Matt. 16:3
